The CLEAN FIFTEEN

Foods you don't necessarily need to buy organic

Certain fruits and veggies have a "tougher" outer shell protecting them from the harmful pesticidal residue that is normally left behind on fruits and vegetables in non-organic, conventional settings.  For example:  Pineapples have a firm peel that prevent the pesticides from penetrating or absorbing into the actual part of the pineapple that we consume.  When you are on a budget, these are the foods you should try to eat.  At the same token, if you wish to go all organic, these are foods you do not necessarily need to worry about and can buy them via conventional means.
